What is the PTA & why should you get involved

At the Craig PTA, our mission is to empower students, support educators, and build a stronger school community. We achieve this through a variety of initiatives, programs, and events that enhance the educational experience and foster a sense of community. Here's a look at what we do:

How the PTA helps-

  • Support Educational Excellence

    We provide funding and resources for programs that enrich the learning experience for our students. This includes purchasing educational materials, supporting extracurricular activities, and organizing enrichment programs that offer students unique opportunities to grow and learn.

  • Advocate for Students & Educators

    We serve as a voice for our students and educators, advocating for their needs and interests. By staying informed on educational policies and developments, we ensure that our community's concerns are heard and addressed.

  • Promote Family and Community Involvement

    We believe that active family and community involvement is key to a thriving school. We organize events and initiatives that bring families together and encourage participation in school activities. From family fun nights to educational workshops, we create opportunities for families to engage with the school and each other.

  • Host Fun & Engaging Events

    We put on exciting events at the school, creating fun ways for students to connect after school hours. Our annual Spooktacular for Halloween is a favorite, offering a safe and entertaining environment for our students to celebrate and have fun. Other events include Bingo Night, Teach Appreciation, & more.

  • Fundraising and Resources

    Through various fundraising efforts, we provide essential resources that support our school's programs and initiatives. Our fundraising activities include spiritwear sales, school events, and community events. A portion of our spiritwear sales, for example, directly funds PTA programs and events, ensuring that we can continue to offer valuable resources to our students and teachers.

  • Volunteer Opportunities

    We offer numerous opportunities for parents and community members to get involved. Whether you have a little time or a lot, your participation makes a significant difference. From classroom assistance to event planning and committee involvement, there are many ways to contribute to our school community.
